Session 2, Day 2

Saturday started right on time with breakfast at the courts and a more in-depth look at the Stevens Center Tennis Facility with coach DJ. We had all hands on deck Saturday as coaches DJ, Cesar and Taylor kept the campers moving seamlessly through drills and live play. 12:30 arrived quickly and campers and coaches took lunch to go to prepare for another fun afternoon on the river with FLOW Adventures.

Flow Adventures picked us up at the Historic Davenport hotel and shuttled us down to the Spokane River where we embarked on what was going to be the coming out party for our tennis crew . The hot weather and calm flows on the Spokane made for perfect conditions to have some serious water fights! After lots of wet fun and laughter, we pulled up to our tasting beach to enjoy a tasting with Smoky Rose Cellars. Owners Josh and Jodi filled us in on their journey as winemakers as we sipped on 3 of their best warm weather varietals. There’s nothing better than relaxing on a beach while enjoying some of the best wine our Northwest region has to offer. We finished the rest of our float soaking in the beautiful weather and scenery before the Flow team loaded up our gear and shuttled us back to Davenport for our evening pairing.

After a quick turnaround and slipping into some dry clothes, Saturday evening found us Tavolata with an amazing evening with Jared from Avennia. Jared did a wonderful job walking us through each pairing as we had an yet another unforgettable culinary journey. Campers and coaches alike left stuffed, fully carbo loaded for one more day of hard work on the courts.
